Richard’s decision to pursue neuropsychology followed his experience during doctoral training at Hurstwood Park Neurological Centre in 1995. He went on to complete his post-doctoral diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology at the Maudsley Hospital in 2000 and has been a Full-Practitioner member of the BPS Division of Neuropsychology since.
Richard has worked in neuro-rehabilitation settings in both the NHS and independent sector since 1996. 17 years experience in medico-legal work has seen him instructed as an expert neuropsychologist in many diverse and complex civil, criminal and family law cases. However, his strong interest in neuro-rehabilitation and treatment has also underpinned an emphasis on therapeutic work with patients following trauma, head injury and various complex neuropsychological presentations.
In addition to working with patients, Richard particularly enjoys teaching/training, providing supervision and clinical research. Outside of work he has enjoyed periods traveling in South America and India. He now lives in West Sussex, has 3 children and is a keen cyclist and swimmer. He is also, by birthright, a supporter of Swindon Town Football Club.
