Psychology Chartered Launches Child and Family Services

Psychology Chartered now provides specialist psychological services to children, adolescents and families. This includes mental health difficulties, developmental problems and neurological illness/disability.
This service is delivered using cognitive assessment/formal psychometric measures, evidence based individual and family therapies and advice and consultation to rehabilitation professionals and case managers. The service provides the following benefits:
- Highly specialist expert reports to the courts
- Opinion/recommendations improve clinical decision making and cost-effective use of psychological treatment(s)
- Improved management of neuro-behavioural difficulties in community settings, reducing longer term costs associated with educational exclusion, social isolation and residential placements
- Improved educational and vocational outcomes
- Reduction in psychological distress of family members with associated improvements in family functioning and reduced use of services
HPC Registered clinical psychologists with specialist knowledge and expertise in work with children, adolescents and families deliver this service across a range of environments in the south of England.
