29th July 2015

Psychology Chartered are pleased to announce another CAN event!

Sponsored by ASB Law (asb-law.com), the next Children and Neurology day will take place on the 17th October at Fishers Farm, Wisborough Green, West Sussex.

CAN eventCAN2s are for children who have a parent with a neurological diagnosis, including MS, Parkinson’s, brain injury and stroke. The purpose is to allow children of 5 and above to meet up with other children in the same situation and to provide low-key psychological support and information regarding neurological issues.

The day will include some fun and games, making new friends, learning about brain injury and full use of the park in the afternoon. Take a look at what Josie (11) had to say about our last event:

“I really enjoyed my day at Fishers farm. I got to spend some time with my family and make some new friends in the same situation. I also learnt more about the brain. Everything was a lot of fun, even for eleven year olds! My younger sister particularly enjoyed it and would quite happily stay there forever! Going around the park we came across some of the people we met at the beginning, this gave yet another chance to make new friends. We learnt a bit more about brain injuries. I now have a much better understanding of how the brain works and how damaging it can affect people. We were all given a book on brains and some other things like a notebook to write down our feelings and a stress ball. I loved this outing and I would love another. I’m sure all the other children would like to be able to do this again too.”
