Lloyds Bank has launched a new mental health campaign called #GetTheInsideOut in collaboration with Mental Health UK and Channel4. It aims to encourage people to openly discuss mental health by sharing and posting images of themselves with a post-it note on their forehead with the campaign hashtag #GetTheInsideOut, and then upload the image on social media to spread awareness.

Launched on February 1st, celebrities including Professor Green, Jamie Vardy and wife Rebekah, Rachel Riley, Alex Brooker, Jeremy Paxman, Ruby Wax and The Vamps band member James Mcvey, have all posted to show their support for the campaign and help spread awareness of mental health. It is being used to look into the common misconceptions of invisible health issues that so many people face, and that many face alone. Lloyds believe that ending the culture of silence around mental illness will make it easier for us to all offer the right support to the people around us who need it.

The real ambition of the campaign is the positive difference it will hopefully make to the lives of many. We all have mental health and so the more we talk and listen to others about it, the easier it will become for everyone to have honest conversations. This campaign will expose mental health for the natural thing it is and “out in the open, where it belongs” – Brian Dow, Managing Director of Mental Health UK.
